COVID-19 Policy

Given the current state of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, we would like to assure you that Hilo is monitoring the evolution of the situation on a daily basis and deploying all necessary measures, in accordance with the directives of the Government of Quebec, to ensure the health and safety of our customers, employees and partners.

While the duration of the present situation is currently unknown, rest assured that we will continue to fulfill our mission and remain in operation so that we can respond to the needs of our customers. To this end, Hilo requires its installation partners to adopt certain measures to ensure that current practices conform to directives established by public health authorities.

Hilo is continuing to follow the directives laid out by government authorities and act responsibly as a company in order to contribute to curtailing the propagation of the virus.

Prevention measures for our customers and installation partners:

The following measures aim to protect our customers, employees and partners during necessary service calls as part of our regular operations.

Our customers and installation partners must:

  • avoid unnecessary direct contact;
  • maintain a safe two-metre distance from one another; and
  • respect the health measures instituted by governmental public health authorities.

Our installation partners must:

  • announce their arrival at the customer’s premises while maintaining a distance of two metres from the customer;
  • leave the premises if the customer shows one or a number of the symptoms associated with COVID-19 (flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough or difficulty breathing); and
  • notify Hilo immediately of any potential contact with a customer presenting such symptoms or a risk of contagion.

Our customers must:

  • ensure the work site for the service call is free of any encumbrance as well as any entrance ways used to access the work site; and
  • advise the electrician if they are a potential source of contagion (such as exhibiting flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough or difficulty breathing, or having travelled outside of Quebec in the past 14 days), in which case the service call will be rescheduled.
