Get 11 to 20 smart thermostats
To find out if the Large Home bundle is right for you, count the number of thermostats you now have in your home. Between 11 and 20? Great, you're in the right place. If not, see our Small Home and Medium Home bundles.

You need a minimum of 1 thermostat to qualify for Hilo services, but the best way to maximize your energy savings is to replace all your old thermostats with smart thermostats. Energy savings of up to 15% is no small thing!

Bundles of connected products

Last update March, 2022. Bundles are subject to change without notice and cannot be combined for a single residence and for a single Hydro-Québec account number. Taxes are not included. To enroll in the Hilo smart home service, the Participant must read and agree to the Hilo Smart Home Service Terms of Service. Please consult the Participant Agreement.

As specified in the Participant Agreement, the eligibility criteria for the Hilo smart home service are as follows (these eligibility criteria may vary):

(i) Be a Hydro-Québec customer and a holder, co-holder, or agent of a Rate D subscription for residential use, as a tenant or as the owner of the home where the Hilo smart home service will be installed

(ii) Have a smart mobile device on which to download and use the Hilo mobile application (visit this page for compatible versions). This device is not included in the Hilo smart home service. Standard messaging and data charges apply to all notifications and remote access over the Internet or mobile network.

(iii) In addition, the residence must:

a. Have at least 50% of its heating load provided by electric heaters connected to Hilo thermostats after installation of the Hilo smart home service
b. Be equipped with a Hydro-Quebec smart meter
c. Be equipped with electrical installations that comply at all times with electrical standards and applicable laws in effect
d. Have a high-speed Internet connection, a wireless network, and a free and functional Ethernet port on the modem or router
e. Be a single-family, semi-detached, or row house, or be in a building of two units or more
f. Be in a city where the Hilo smart home service is available

At the time of purchase of a Hilo Solution or Hilo brand Smart Home Hub, as applicable, the Participant may be granted a Credit by Hilo. When purchasing a Hilo Solution, the Credit is calculated as follows: total value of the current selling price, established by Hilo, for the Connected Devices (included in the Hilo Solution) necessary for the Service; plus (+) the value of Hilo’s current selling price for the Hilo brand Smart Home Hub established by Hilo, if applicable; minus (-) the amount billed to the Participant before taxes and before any additional rebates offered during a temporary promotion at the time of the sale (if applicable). When purchasing a Hilo brand Smart Home Hub only, the Credit corresponds to the current selling price established by Hilo of such Smart Home Hub.

Hilo assumes the Credit in full as follows: the Credit balance decreases based on an equalized monthly discount over a period of thirty-six (36) months beginning on the order date. The Credit balance will be updated in the Participant’s account. The Participant may obtain his or her Credit balance by contacting Hilo’s customer service department.

If this Agreement is terminated, the Credit balance will become immediately due and payable by the Participant on the effective date of termination.
