How can I participate in the Hilo challenges?

It’s easy! You’re automatically entered in all the Hilo challenges you receive. Simply choose your participation mode: moderate or bold, with or without a preheating phase. 

In bold mode, your thermostats will go down more than in moderate mode, but you’ll have the chance to earn more rewards. You can choose to preheat certain rooms for greater comfort.

The measures that will be automatically set for each parameter during the challenge will be clearly indicated in the app.

How? Let Hilo walk you through the steps.

  • Adjust your settings for a morning Hilo challenge (optional preheating phase from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m., reduction phase from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.)
  • Adjust your settings for an evening Hilo challenge (optional preheating phase from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., reduction phase from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.)

The recovery phase happens from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. for a morning challenge and 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. for an evening challenge. You have nothing to configure for this phase.
