Thermostat that shows 0 degrees

When your thermostat shows 0 degrees, it means it’s no longer paired with the gateway. You need to reset  and re-pair it by following the instructions below.

A. Reset the thermostat

  1. If the thermostat is still listed in the app, select the corresponding tile and then the cogwheel in the top right corner of the thermostat’s screen. Select “Remove device” at the bottom of the Settings screen. Refresh the screen by swiping your finger down from the top of the screen until the thermostat disappears.

  1. On the thermostat, press the square button for three seconds until the display starts to blink and you see menu 10.

  1. Press the square button six times, until you see “dEF” on the display with the letter “n” below it.

  1. Tap the right arrow once so that the letter “y” appears under “dEF”.

  1. Press the square button again. Various bits of information will display in rapid succession.

  1. When °C appears on the display, press the square button again for three seconds until the display stops blinking and the ambient temperature appears. The network icon will no longer show in the top left corner of the display. The thermostat has now been reset.

B. Re-pair the thermostat with the gateway

  1. Restart the gateway by pressing the button at the far right of the front of the gateway. Wait until the two indicator lights to the right of the Ethernet cable turn solid green again and stop flashing.

  1. Put the gateway in pairing mode by selecting the B1 button (the one that looks like a pair of chain links, i.e., the second button from the right). The L3 indicator light (second to the right of the Ethernet cable) will blink blue.

  1. On the thermostat, press the square button for three seconds until the display starts to blink and you see menu 10.

  1. Tap the right arrow until “ON” appears on the display.

  1. Press the square button. A blinking network icon will appear in the top left corner.

  1. When the network icon disappears and °C appears on the display, press the square button again for three seconds until the screen stops blinking. The network icon will reappear in the top left corner of the screen and the ambient temperature will be displayed.

  1. Wait about 15 seconds, then refresh the Devices screen until the device tile appears in the app. The thermostat is now paired with the gateway.

  1. If you don’t have any other devices you wish to pair, press B1 on the gateway to exit pairing mode.
