What is preheating?

Preheating is a feature designed to help you stay comfortable during a peak event — without affecting your results. You can enable or disable it for each connected thermostat and choose whether it applies to morning events, evening events, or both.

When preheating is enabled, your thermostats’ setpoint temperatures gradually increase two hours before the start of the peak event so that your home accumulates more heat.
