Join Hilo challenges with Honeywell Home, Mysa, and Sinopé smart devices
Hydro-Québec is enhancing its Hilo smart home service by integrating select thermostats and devices from Honeywell Home, Mysa, and Sinopé.
As of September 2024, owners of eligible devices from these brands can now sign up for Hilo. Existing Hilo customers can also connect their compatible devices to maximize their benefits.
Hydro-Québec is offering financial assistance of $30 to $150 per device for customers who own or purchase eligible equipment from these brands. Once you have your Hilo-compatible smart devices, simply order your free Hilo hub to start joining challenges and earning cash rewards.
Smarter energy use, when it matters most
"Helping our customers optimize their energy use is one of the five priorities in our Action Plan 2035 – Towards a Decarbonized and Prosperous Québec," says Sabrina Harbec, Director - Energy Efficiency, Demand Response and Customer Offerings. "This announcement represents a big step toward increasing Hydro-Québec customer participation in reducing winter peak consumption. Thousands of customers with devices from these providers can now join the collective effort."
Last winter, Hilo successfully shifted 103 MW of power demand per challenge. Plus, participants earned an average of $205 in rewards and saved up to 15% on their electricity bills over the course the challenge season.
