Should I cancel the nighttime setback for my Honeywell Home central heating thermostat the night before a peak event? 

That depends on your preferences and the configuration of your home. You can decide to enable preheating ahead of a peak event — or not — based on what works best for your comfort.

Feel free to try out different settings throughout the (opt: peak event) season to find the right balance. 

In some cases, cancelling your nighttime setback (that is, skipping your usual overnight temperature reduction) may help — and could even eliminate the need for preheating.
