How will I receive my peak event participation credit?

Instead of being paid out via Interac e‑Transfer, this amount will be credited directly to your Hydro‑Québec electricity bill.

At the end of each billing cycle, the amount you’ve earned from participating in Hilo peak demand events during the applicable period is calculated and applied as a credit. This credit appears on your Hydro‑Québec bill under the Details of costs section.

If you’re enrolled in the Equalized Payments Plan (EPP), your Winter Credit Option savings from reducing your electricity use during peak events appear on your bill every two months under the Details of costs section. These savings are taken into account during the annual review of your equalized payment amount.

You can track your savings and view credited amounts in your Customer Space. To do so, log in, then click the Peak demand events tile on the At a glance page. A green check mark appears in the peak events table once the savings associated with an event have been credited and are visible on your Hydro‑Québec bill. This check mark confirms that the amount has been applied.
