Thanks to our partnership with Elmec, you can connect select EVduty charging station models to your Hilo app. It’s a smart way to charge your vehicle outside of peak demand events — and save in the process!

It’s a solution that allows owners of compatible charging stations to automatically participate in peak events.

 

With Hilo’s EV charging solution, you won’t have to worry about remembering the start and end times of each peak event, or risk forgetting to unplug or replug your vehicle. Your charging time will be optimized, along with your potential savings.

To participate in the smart charging service, you’ll need:

 

  • A compatible charging station
  • A Wi-Fi network covering the charging area (to connect your station to the Internet)

Also, as with all Hilo solutions, you’ll need:

  • A Hilo hub (included with your first order)
  • A smartphone
  • A Hydro-Québec account enrolled in the Flex D rate, or agree to enroll when placing your order

Yes! Hilo will automatically reduce or cut the charging power at the start of the peak event and restore it to 100% at the end. No action is required on your part, other than plugging in your vehicle.

No. The customer must order and install their own charger before joining Hilo’s charging service. Learn more
