How can I make the most of a peak event?

Don’t adjust your connected thermostats at any point during the event — from the start of the preheating phase to the end of the recovery phase. Any change made in the Hilo app or directly on a device will automatically exclude it, which may affect your results.

The same rule applies to water heater controllers and EV charging stations.

Make sure no heating-related scenes are active during a peak event. 

Don’t exclude any devices while a peak event is in progress.
