Is Hilo’s smart thermostat for electric floor heating compatible with other non-electric sources of radiant floor heating?

No. The Hilo thermostat for electric floor heating is only compatible with electric radiant flooring systems. These systems are generally composed of an electric heating wire installed underneath the floor’s surface.

The Hilo smart thermostat for electric floor heating is therefore not compatible with fluid-based systems (composed of a network of pipes in which either hot water or a glycol solution is circulated).
