Important information about Hilo smart thermostats for electric baseboards and convectors

Smart thermostats are a great way to reduce your energy use! However, quantities of Hilo smart thermostats for electric baseboards and convectors are limited. If we’re out of stock at the time of your scheduled installation, we’ll offer you other smart thermostat models for electric baseboards and convectors. If you’d prefer to wait for Hilo to install the Hilo-brand model, you can reschedule your appointment at no cost.

Because the screen on Sinopé Lite thermostats is smaller, it does not display the outdoor temperature. Additionally, the temperature is shown in increments of 1 degree, rather than 0.5 degrees as with Hilo thermostats and both the standard and new-generation Sinopé models.

 

All Sinopé thermostats are also more compact than Hilo thermostats, which means they may not cover the same wall surface as your current thermostat. Furthermore, a strong Wi-Fi signal must be available in every room where a Sinopé thermostat is installed.

Once installation is complete, your experience in the Hilo app will be the same for both Sinopé and Hilo thermostats for the following features:

  • Viewing thermostats in the list of devices
  • Displaying the setpoint, room temperature, and energy consumption
  • Adjusting the temperature setpoint

However, it is not possible to create scenes in the Hilo app using Sinopé thermostats.

If you’d like to configure a scene with a Sinopé baseboard thermostat, you can do so using the manufacturer’s app (Neviweb).

Yes. If your order includes other Hilo-brand smart devices, they’ll be installed as planned.

According to our current estimates, Hilo-brand baseboard thermostats should be back in stock in early 2026.

Yes, the applicable warranty is also three years.
