What is Hydro-Québec's Winter Credit Option? 

The Winter Credit Option is a rate add-on available with the base rate (Rate D). It lets you earn a bill credit based on how much you reduce your electricity use during peak demand events.

As of April 1, 2026, Hydro-Québec is no longer accepting new enrolments in this option. However, customers who are already enrolled can continue to benefit from it under the existing terms and conditions.
