How can I check if I'm eligible for Hilo?

To be eligible for the Hilo service, you must meet the following basic requirements:

  • Have a residential Hydro‑Québec account (as a tenant or homeowner)
  • Remain enrolled in Rate Flex D for the duration of the agreement
  • Have a Hydro‑Québec smart meter
  • Have access to high-speed internet (at least 5 Mbps), a home Wi-Fi network, and an available Ethernet port on your modem or router
  • Have a smartphone or other mobile device capable of downloading and using the Hilo app
  • Live in a city where Hilo’s smart home service (alt: the Hilo service) is available
  • Live in a home with equipment that is compatible with Hilo
