What participation settings apply during peak events? 

Default settings

Participation mode: Moderate 

Included devices: All connected thermostats, plus the EV charging station and water heater controller (if applicable) 

Preheating: Enabled for all thermostats 

These settings apply automatically unless you make changes from the My peak event settings page in the Hilo app.

How do I change my participation settings? 

To access the My peak event settings page: 

1. Tap Events in the bottom navigation bar 
2. Select Manage my event settings 

From there, you can: 

• Choose a participation mode: Tap the tile for Moderate, Intrepid, or Extreme. 
• Manage your thermostats (under My thermostats) 
  • Tap the circle to the left of a thermostat to include or exclude it 
  • Tap the circle to the right to turn preheating on or off 
• Adjust other devices (under My other devices): This includes your water heater controller and/or EV charging station (if applicable) 

Tap Confirm to save your changes. Your new settings will automatically apply to future peak events.
