Adding a Honeywell Home thermostat to the Hilo app, requires a setting modification if the default browser on your phone is Firefox. Without this adjustment, adding the thermostat is not possible.

Follow these instructions to modify the setting:

  1. In Firefox, tap on the menu button (usually three vertical dots) next to the address bar.
  2. Tap on Settings.
  3. Scroll down to the Advanced section and tap Open links in apps to select one of the three options.
    • Always allows to open links in native apps every time.
    • Ask before opening to choose whether to open link in native app each time.
    • Never to never open links in native apps.
  4. Select Always or Ask before opening.
