Can I choose to opt out of Hilo automation during a peak event?

Yes, you can. However, within 12 months of installing devices associated with a credit balance (for Hilo products) or accepting financial assistance (for Hilo-compatible devices), you may opt out of automation for all your devices no more than 10 times. This includes clicking Disable automation or manually deselecting each device one by one. 

 

You can exclude devices from automation anytime between when Hilo sends the notification and the end of the peak event. If you opt out during an active event, your thermostats will return to their usual settings and — if applicable — your water heater will turn back on and EV charging will resume.
