How many peak events can there be each winter? 

There can be up to 30 peak events scheduled between December 1 and March 31, on weekdays or weekends. Events may take place in the morning (6 a.m. to 10 a.m.), in the evening (4 p.m. to 8 p.m.), or both if the weather is especially cold. 

On any given day, there may be: 

• a single peak event in the morning 
• a single peak event in the evening 
• two peak events — one in the morning and one in the evening 

(Some days may have no peak events at all.)
