How? In Québec, demand for electricity is highest in winter. By reducing your consumption in peak periods, you’ll curb the increase in demand. Hydro-Québec can then avoid or defer additional costs related to:

• purchasing power at higher prices from neighboring systems
• installing new equipment in existing generating stations
• building new facilities to generate electricity
