How do I accept Hilo’s Interac e-Transfer?

Step 1: Keep an eye on your inbox

You’ll receive an email from Hilo by Hydro-Québec (notify@payments.interac.ca) letting you know that an Interac e-Transfer has been sent.

Step 2: Look up your code in the app and copy it

Once you receive the email, open your Hilo app and go to the main menu [☰] at the top of your Home screen, then select My rewards.
Next, note down the code shown under Security question answer.

Step 3: Accept the transfer

From the Interac transfer email, select your financial institution and the account where you’d like the funds deposited.
Then, enter the Security question answer code.

Please note:

  • You’ll have 30 days to accept the transfer.
  • You’ll have three chances to enter the security question correctly (the code you noted down from your app) — after three failed attempts, the transfer will be cancelled.
  • If your transfer is canceled or has expired, contact Customer Service to review your options or request a payment by cheque.
