Does the temperature maintenance period before the preheating phase apply to compatible thermostats from other brands? 

No. With compatible thermostats connected to Hilo, the temperature maintenance period does not activate when you schedule a nighttime temperature reduction. Hilo cannot access that information, since the adjustment is managed in the partner’s app.

If you’re a Hilo customer using compatible thermostats and plan to lower the temperature overnight before a morning peak demand event, we recommend reducing the temperature by no more than two degrees below your usual setting. This helps maintain your savings, as your thermostats will be less likely to turn back on during the peak event.
