1 You must accept the Participant Agreement and commit to 12 months of automation during peak demand events.
2 Remote control through the mobile app is available for all Hilo thermostats and select compatible models. Note that some compatible models can only be controlled remotely through their brand’s app.
3 The average potential savings amount is based on the actual consumption of Hilo customers using a smart heating solution, across all device and housing types, calculated according to the Rate Flex D pricing in effect at the time. This average is derived from data spanning the last three winter seasons (2022–2025) and is calculated on the basis of 100 hours of participation or 25 peak demand events. Potential savings represent the difference between Rate Flex D and the base rate (Rate D), including applicable taxes. Savings with the smart heating solution may vary depending on factors such as the exact number of thermostats associated with the solution, home characteristics, energy-use habits, the rate of participation in peak demand events, and weather conditions.
The average potential savings amount is based on the actual consumption of Hilo customers who used a smart EV charging solution during the 2024–2025 winter season and is calculated on the basis of 100 hours of participation or 25 peak demand events. Potential savings represent the difference between Rate Flex D and the base rate (Rate D), including applicable taxes. Savings with the smart EV charging solution may vary depending on factors such as vehicle type, driving habits, charging patterns, and the rate of participation in peak demand events.
The average potential savings amount is based on the actual consumption of Hilo customers who used a smart water heater solution during tests carried out in the 2024–2025 winter season and is calculated on the basis of 100 hours of participation or 25 peak demand events. Potential savings represent the difference between Rate Flex D and the base rate (Rate D), including applicable taxes. Savings with the smart water heater solution may vary depending on the water heater model and household hot water use during peak demand events.

Cash bonuses
When you add your compatible smart devices to the Hilo app, you’ll receive a cash bonus of up to $210¹ per device. And that’s on top of the savings you’ll see on your electricity bill with Hilo and Rate Flex D!
1 Financial assistance is offered to eligible Hilo program participants who agree to the terms of the financial assistance program. To qualify, participants must connect a compatible smart device to the Hilo app and commit to participating in Hilo peak demand events for a period of 12 months. Financial assistance will be paid to the customer within a few weeks of their devices being connected to Hilo and the acceptance of the financial assistance agreement. Note that financial assistance is only provided once per eligible connected device. The financial assistance is $105 for each connected Sinopé Calypso Zigbee water heater controller, $125 for each connected Sinopé Calypso Wi-Fi water heater controller, and $150 per Sinopé low-voltage thermostat or $110 baseboard thermostat or $210 per thermostat for radiant floor heating, up to a maximum of $2,650. The number of compatible connected devices eligible for financial assistance is limited. For more details, please refer to the financial assistance program. Add your Honeywell Home, Mysa, or Sinopé devices to the Hilo app. If they're compatible, they can be automated during peak demand events and help you save on your electricity bill.
Other devices which were not tested by Hilo could be compatible with the app.
For example, a maximum of 10 dimmers can be paired with your hub. If you select eight dimmers as part of your Large Home package, your order will automatically be limited to two additional dimmers so that you don’t exceed the limit.

Using the Hilo solution for chargers lets you avoid any hassles with having to remember the start and end times for each challenge, as well as forgetting to disconnect or reconnect your vehicle before and after challenges.
