What is a credit balance?

The credit balance represents the difference between the full market value of the Hilo devices you receive and the price you pay.

For example, a smart thermostat typically costs around $115, but Hilo offers it for $0. In that case, the thermostat’s credit balance would be $115.

Note that the credit balance applies only to the cost of the devices (before taxes), not to installation.

This balance is spread evenly over 12 months — the length of your commitment to Hilo — starting from the date of your order. It decreases by the same amount each month. You’ll be able to view your credit balance in your online shopping cart before completing your order. You can also contact Hilo customer service at any time to check your balance.

Important: After 12 months, your credit balance will be $0. However, if you cancel your agreement before the end of the 12-month commitment period, you’ll need to repay the portion of the balance corresponding to the remaining months
