Can I terminate my Agreement?

Your commitment is for a period of three years (36 months). If you terminate, you will be required to repay the remaining portion of your credit balance. Your credit balance is the difference between the total value of the list price of the connected devices (including the thermostats and gateway) and the amount you were charged for those devices. Your credit balance decreases by an equal monthly reduction over a period of 36 months from the date of your order. Note that installation by Hilo is not counted towards the credit balance.

For example, if you have selected the starter kit and 4 thermostats, and there are 12 months remaining on your contract at the time of termination, you will be required to pay $140.00 plus the equivalent of taxes. The table below shows you how to do this calculation and gives you examples of credit balance refunds.

To calculate the amount to be repaid, you must multiply the amount in the Equivalent/Months box by the number of months remaining on your contract. If you have any questions or need help with the calculations, please contact our customer service department.

Note: All amounts are presented before taxes. If applicable, the amount to be reimbursed will be increased by an amount equivalent to the taxes.
