Why am I seeing a "Water temperature too low" message?

This message appears when the sensor located at the top of the tank detects lukewarm water near the outlet of your water heater.

If you’ve recently used a large amount of hot water, this message will usually disappear on its own once the incoming cold water has been sufficiently heated.
