Will I still be able to control my water heater manually (or with the Hilo app)?

Yes, but we recommend avoiding it (unless you’ll be away for an extended period), because: 

  • you might run out of hot water 
  • your water heater may not be automated by Hilo during a peak event 
  • it could affect the safety of your water
