Why isn't the connection between my Hydro-Québec meter and my Hilo hub working properly? 

In some types of homes, your Hydro-Québec meter and Hilo hub may not communicate properly. This may be due to excessive distance (40 feet or more) between the meter and the hub, or to physical interferencesuch as a concrete, brick, or stone wall. 

 

Will this affect my Hilo experience? 

You’ll still be able to use your smart thermostats and create scenes. However, certain information — like your home’s real-time power and consumption data — won’t be displayed in the Hilo app. 

Will my smart devices still be automated during peak events? 

Yes. Hilo will receive your consumption data from Hydro-Québec, and your participation results will be available within 48 hours after the peak event.
