What happens to my water heater during challenges?

Just like with thermostats, Hilo takes care of everything during challenges. Hilo customers who have agreed to participate will have their water heaters’ electricity cut remotely and automatically, so long as Quebec’s public health regulations allow it. The heaters will then be reactivated once the challenge has ended.
