Does that mean I won’t have hot water during peak events?

You’ll still have hot water during peak events, even though power to your water heater is cut.

 

However, your usage habits will affect how much hot water is available. For example, a 60-gallon water heater set to 60°C can provide approximately 273 L of mixed water at 40°C — enough for several showers.
