Free installation with 12-month commitment

The purchase of Hilo smart thermostats for electric baseboards or radiant floor heating includes free, first-time installation if you commit to participating in Hilo reduction challenges for a period of 12 months. The installation is performed by a certified electrician who will also explain how to program your connected devices.

Installation time and procedure

When you finalize your online order, you’ll be asked to select your preferred installation date, as well as the time slot that works best for you.  

• Make sure to download the Hilo mobile app before we arrive. You'll already be able to create your account, name your house, and create your rooms.  
• You'll receive an email reminder five days before your chosen installation date.  
• An authorization hold will then be placed on your credit card until we can confirm the amount to be debited. The invoice will be sent to you only after installation.  
• Once installation is complete and the number of devices has been confirmed, we will proceed with payment. 

Note: installation of the Hilo heating solution can take between two and five hours, depending on the number of units selected. 

Shipping

The hub, thermostats and connected wall devices you order cannot be mailed to your home, because they must be installed by a Hilo-appointed electrician. The installer will bring them on the day of installation.

If you’re already enjoying Hilo services and have purchased additional products, your order will be shipped to your Hilo home address via Canada Post’s Expedited Parcel™ service.

Please note that the certified electrician will collect all connected devices that have not been installed.
